Wedding Decal – design 1

A customisable DIY wedding decal for your event. Simply add your name/s, select your event and provide the date. A hashtag is an optional inclusion at no additional charge.

A DIY wedding decal is easy to apply to a  smooth flat surface – acrylic, glass, metal or wood (we recommend that wood is well sanded, sealed and varnished before applying decals).

All designs have been created allowing sufficient margins to provide a pleasing visual balance. The final decal size is dependent upon the length of the names.

Please advise your board size, to ensure the decal created will fit your board.

Extra Large:

To suit boards up to 600mm x 900mm – Maximum decal size 550mm x 700mm

Large:

To suit boards up to 450mm x 600mm – Maximum decal size 400mm x 550mm

Vinyl specifications:

Black and White: up to 10 years outdoor durability
Colours: up to 8 year outdoor durability
Metallics: up to 5 years outdoor durability
Chrome Effect: Rose Gold: up to 3 years outdoor durability; Gold: up to 2 years outdoor durability;  Silver: up to 1 year outdoor durability

Single colour vinyl cut decals are cut from one piece of vinyl and are therefore posted in a mailing tube.

Application Instructions:

1. First, ensure your surface is clean and dry, then minimise contact with the area the decal will be placed as the residue from skin oils may prevent the decal from adhering to the surface.
2. Rub the decal with a firm piece of plastic (credit cards are good for this) to ensure decal is on the transfer tape.
3. Next, position decal in desired position and apply the hinge tape (provided with large decals) to maintain position of decal.
4. Then flip decal over leaving hinge piece attached to your sign while you remove backing sheet at an sharp angle. Should any part of the decal remain on the backing sheet, gently lay it back down and firmly rub so it clings to the application tape.
5. Gently flip the decal application tape back slowly and smooth decal into position gently rubbing back and forth as you go to minimise the chance of air bubbles under your decal. Do not put the whole decal down at the same time.
6. Once the entire decal has been positioned, firmly rub over the application tape to ensure the decal is transferred to your surface.
7. Lastly, gently peel up application tape on an angle, leaving the decal behind.
